Budget Scrapbooking
To help you keep scrapbooking in this tough economic times, here are some helpful hints for scrapbooking on a budget.
- Save your scraps! Store them in an accordian folder and file them by color. I have 2 folders - one for solid cardstock and one for pattern paper. You can use them for making mats, paper piecing, diecuts (shapes and letters) and even cards.
- When you finish a page use all the leftover coordinating scraps to make some cards. You already have the coordinating products right there in front of you! Just think a regular card at the store costs at least $3 and you will be making some with just leftovers!
- Save ribbons from gifts, buttons and tags from clothes to use as embellishments on your pages. Also save items from your trips to use as embellishments. One of my favorites to use are those squashed pennies.
- Organize your supplies. I know I have stated this before but if you organize your supplies, then you will know what you have and can find them when you need them. I divide most of my supplies by themes, so I when I am scrapbooking Christmas, then I just pull all my Christmas stuff and get scrapooking!
- Make a fun funky title using leftover stickers! They don't have to match.
- Remember you can be conservative with your adhesive. Just a little bit in each corner for you photos is enough. Ok with larger papers I use some in the middle too but there is no reason to use it all over the place. Save the money!
- Come to one of my crops! You don't need to buy a bunch of tools or stamps, just come to one of my crops and use mine. It is just $5 or free if bring a newcomer!

Thanks for reading my newsletter! I hope you found something useful. Perhaps I will see you at one of my Kris' Krops this month.
